HONGKONG. 3rd March, 1920.
I have the honour to inform Your Lordship
that vacancies exist in the establishment of the Education
Department as approved in the Estimates for the current year
for four Junior Masters and ten Assistant Mistressas md to
request that steps may be taken for the early selection of suitable candidates to fill these posts.

I enclose a statement giving particulars
of the qualifications desired and would refer you to the
recommendations which I have submitted for your approval with
regard to the encluments of these posts.
3.
The Inspector of Englien Schorls, Mr. E. Ralphs, will probably be in England bators the final selection
of candidates is made and he has expressed his willingness to give any assistance possible to the Appointments Committee
of the Board of Education.
4.
With regard to one of the vacmcias for
Junior Masters, I would refer you to Mr. Long's Despatch
No. 134 of the 30th August, 1918, though it is unknown whether Mr. Hancox is still desirous of submitting an application.
